As a counselor, what is my greatest hope in the face of sin and suffering?

My greatest hope in the face of sin and suffering is found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
This is not a passing asterisk in the historical redemptive plan of God. This is the point. This is the foundation. Everything hinges on whether this historical fact is true.
If Jesus has not been raised from the dead, then our faith is in vain and we are still dead in our sins.

The connection between Christ’s resurrection and our sin and suffering is: His resurrection can secure your hope, too. There is no problem, no degree of suffering or hardship, pain or sin (or consequence of sin) that cannot be faced with confidence now that we have this living hope, (See 1 Pet 1:13).
